GVMachines Inc. was founded in 2010 with the focus on technology for scalable CPG photography and visual product search. We work with retailers who share our vision of multi-channel trade based on flexible software which adapts to retailer (rather than retailer adapting to software). GVMachines is a software company and data provider building its products on the principles of:
- simple and reliable components
- minimal usage of proprietary hardware
- open standards and protocols
How do we operate?
GVMachines partners with retailers who are willing to merge traditional brick-and- mortar trade with the Internet world. For us and our partners, multi-channel is not a strategy for 2015, but everyday practice. GVMachines team are experts in scalable imaging technology utilizing state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning techniques to deliver product photography super-quickly and at affordable cost. Our search team develops and integrates our product search engine (GVSearch) into partners' e-commerce web sites. The goal here is to achieve user experience in search which is visual, instant, and immersive.
Our objectives and values
Our team and shareholders believe there is a lot of room for optimization in a way of groceries from the crop fields to kitchen and family dinner tables. This is true not only for groceries but for many other consumer packaged goods (CPG). Our goal is to use information technology to save consumers' money, time, fuel, and health. We think the most effective solutions for grocery stores should:
- be simple, clear and inexpensive for all the market players
- inspire people to follow "less, yet better" consumption formula
- to aim for better self-awareness and healthy food choices
- encourage producers who treat the environment in a respectful way
- promote development of the "local economy", minimizing usage of hydrocarbon fuel at production, transportation, storage, and distribution.
We often face a question: "Do we work for retailer or a customer?" Our reply is fairly simple: GVMachines works together with retailers who aim to provide the best service for its loyal customers.
